Hoeked is a boutique catering service dedicated to curating an array of culinary delights for any occasion – allowing you to free up your time to enjoy the moment. We’re small but big on heart, and put love into every bite, emphasising the use of fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and small-batch cooking.

Chef Leigh and her amazing team specialise in Harvest Table–style menus – abundant, generous spreads where guests can help themselves to a variety of flavours and dishes, as well as Gourmet Vegetarian & Vegan Ready-Made Meals. Sustainability is always front of mind: we use ingredients to their fullest potential and source our meats from trusted, free-range local suppliers.

Our goal is simple: to bring people together around beautiful food that not only looks inviting but tastes even better.

Hoeked Ready Made-Meals: We focus on vegetarian & vegan meals, but we have a few meat dishes where we source ethical, pasture-reared and free-range meat, always keeping sustainability and conscious cooking top of mind. We use each ingredient to its fullest potential, trying to make our meals with as little harm to the environment as possible. We have some unique dishes that you might have never been tried before, as well as some familiar favourites!

A BIT ABOUT ME &

WHAT I DO

My name is Leigh, and this picture says it all: I love bubbly, my fury friends and of course – FOOD.

Hoeked Catering is my covid baby. It all started off with taking over my parents kitchen, then forcing friends and family to keep me busy by buying my ready-made meals. During this time, frozen meals became very popular due to lock-down, and I saw that there was a gap in the market in creating delicious, healthy and ethically made vegetarian and vegan meals, finding veg based food usually being an after-thought in a lot of cooking. We soon added a limited range of meat based meals, only sourcing free-range, pasture-reared meat. I’ve always had a passion and interest in sustainable and conscious living & eating, pushing for using biodegradable and recyclable packaging wherever possible.

Slowly and organically, Hoeked gained traction and grew into what it is today (with a lot of change, failures, successes, redesigning and rethinking in- between) – A catering business that specialises in Harvest Tables and Ready-Made Meals.

Today, I jump around between a few different business ventures, all food related, which keeps the creativity going and definitely keeps me on my toes!
Hoeked Catering is what I do a lot of the time, when I’m not busy with Furny’s Fine Wines & Taste Room, or The Coffee Guy, both based in Noordhoek. I develop the recipes, design the food menu, and take charge of the social media pages. Both restaurants are full family ventures (boyfriend even brave enough to join in)! I stock my frozen ready-made meals the delis – so you can stock up on these easy to heat and eat meals, but while you’re at it, join us for a glass of wine, delicious meal, or a freshly brewed cappa.
